Cedar Bluff A campsite includes 24 platforms (split with 17 on one side of the pavilion and 7 on the other side of the pavilion), a 25x25 sq. foot covered pavilion, fire pit, 2 picnic tables, a flag pole, and additional open area for ground camping (very rocky). This campsite is located below or level with the dining hall, across from Cedar Bluff B campsite and shares the bathroom/shower complex with Whispering Hollow, Valley View A/B, Axis Crossing, and Deer Pass A/B campsites.
On this ruggedly beautiful reservation in the Texas Hill Country, youth, families, and adult volunteers of all ages enjoy weekends, day excursions, and week long summer camp experience. Bear Creek is located 20 miles west of Kerrville, Texas, which lies on Interstate 10. Take Highway 27 west of Kerrville six miles to Ingram. In Ingram, take Highway 39 six miles to Hunt. In Hunt, turn onto FM 1340 and go six miles to Bear Creek.
Check-In Procedure
All campers and visitors must check in with the Bear Creek Scout Reservation Camp Director immediately upon arrival. Unit leadership is to provide a roster of all Scouts and adults in attendance as well as any required training documentation.
Clean-Up Procedure
A Scout is to Leave No Trace, all Items must be left in as good if not better condition than when the unit/group arrived. If facility is not cleaned you will be accessed a cleaning fee of $50 per hour with a $50 minimum.
Check-Out Procedure
At the end of your camp stay, you must check out with the Camp Director, who will promptly inspect the rental facility to ensure cleanliness and care.
