The Alamo Area Council, BSA, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, serves a 13 county area imparting the Scouting program to over 18,000 youth and 5,900 volunteer adults in South Texas. With Learning for Life, an in-school character education subsidiary of Boy Scouts of America, the Council serves over 22,500 youth. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
