Where does our money come from to Support Scouting?

37% Direct Support and Friends of Scouting

A Substantial part of the council's operating needs are provided by the Friends of Scouting campaign through parents, individuals, businesses and service organizations.

Money is also derived from the Scout Shop, special events, foundations/trusts, legacies and bequests and project sales.

34% Self Generated Revenue

The council generates income from Council wide activities and camping operations throughout the year.

The council also conducts special fundraising activities such as the Trail's End Gourmet Popcorn Sale.

19% United Way

The Council receives support from the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, Comal, Guadalupe, Kerr, Kenedy and Karnes City.

10% Investment Income

Income is also derived from interest accrued by the Council's Operating and Endowment Fund.
