  • Eagle Scouts Trip to Mars 2019

    The Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council are proud to partner with NASA to send a select group of 19 Eagle Scouts to Mars in 2019. For an Eagle Scout to be considered, please register your interest online today by 11 pm.
  • JUN: 2018 Swim Checks and Lessons

    The swim classification of individuals participating in water activities is a key element of the BSA’s Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat. Swim classification tests (swim checks) should be renewed annually at the beginning of the outdoor season and are required for any Scout attending Boy Scout Camp. The Alamo Area Council offers swim lessons to Scouts (ages 6+) as well as swim checks.

    The Mays Family Scout Ranch is offering the new Cub Scout Adventure programs and Boy Scout Merit Badges for the 2018 year. We are offering programs this fall, winter, and spring for Cub and Boy Scouts to come out and participate in. Please review details on the calendar and sign up before it fills up.     Newly registered Cub Scouts can come to either McGimsey Scout Park in North Central SA or the Mays Family Scout Ranch in South San Antonio from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm for their first outdoor adventure with archery, BB guns, nature, crafts and games. READ ON...

  • Scout Night with SAFC 2018

    Join the fun on Saturday, October 6th with the San Antonio Football Club (SAFC)! Tickets only $20 if purchased before September 16th! Ticket includes soccer game ticket, food voucher, fan experience and commemorative patch. After the game, stick around for autographs and meet and greet with the players! So come out and enjoy the game with the entire family!.
