MAY - Cub Scouts Examine, Explore and Explain at Bear Creek

Cub Scouts of all ranks are invited to participate in Cub Discovery Camp 2016. Scouts, and their attending parent, will examine, explore and explain the camp theme: CSI (Cub Scout Investigation) while camping and having fun at Bear Creek Scout Reservation May 7-8, 2016. This is the annual opportunity for all Cub Scouts to camp at Bear Creek.

 Join other Cub Scouts from around the Alamo Area Council as we examine clues, discover new skills, break secret codes and eat (are you ready for it?)...Armpit Fudge!

Registration Information:

This weekend is for all Cub Scouts and one or both of their parents or guardian. The weekend is not setup for siblings. Participation is limited to the first 350 applicants who register and turn in a health history form and fees.

Gates open at 8:00 AM on May 7th and ends at 11:00 AM on May 8th, 2016. 

Early registration is $75.00 for the cub/parent team who register on or before April 4th. After April 4th, the fee will be $85.00 for the cub/parent team. An additional parent is $15.00. An additional Cub Scout is $35.00 (all participants must be from your immediate family).  All registrations include a t-shirt for the Cub Scout and the adult.  Your reservations are confirmed unless otherwise notified.  T-shirts sizes are not guaranteed for anyone registered after April 23rd.

Your registration fee pays for Saturday lunch and supper, evening snack and Sunday breakfast; all program supplies, insurance, a special patch, and t-shirts. 

Camp Rules and Information:

Be prepared to carry your gear from the parking area to your campsite and back out  (Bring a wagon or wheelbarrow.) 
Bear Creek has modern restroom and shower facilities, So DON’T bring your own water but DO bring your toiletries. 
No one is allowed to ride in the back of a pickup truck, NO EXCEPTIONS. No pets, please. 
Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Late arrivals, please report to the Health Lodge for registration. 

Youth protection policies of the Boy Scouts of America do not allow parents to share a tent with any youngster except their own son.
