JUN-JUL: Parents: What is your Cub Scout doing this Summer?by Jay Ghormley for the Alamo Area BSA: January 4, 2017
Robert Baden-Powell, the Founder of Boy Scouts, defined Scouting as "...a game with a purpose."
Cub Scout Day Camp embodies this definition. Your Cub Scout will experience outdoor adventures such as swimming, visits to the archery and BB ranges, hiking, sports/games, Scouting skills, and more; all focused on developing your son's character and teaching him skills to prepare him for life.
This year's Day Camp theme is "Knight's Quest: Seeking Adventure, Seeking Character, Seeking Fun."
Much as a knight sought to embody the Code of Chivalry in his life and action, Cub Scouts will learn to seek and exhibit the character traits found in the Scout Law. "A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent."
Registration: Opens on January 15, 2017,... Scouts may register as individuals or as a pack. Individual Scouts may attend even if their pack/den does not participate.
Pricing: (Includes camp t-shirt, cup, cap and all program fees)
