Report to State 2016

FEB - Report to State 2016 for the Alamo Area Council

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, a delegation of Scouts and leaders from the Alamo Area Council will attend the event called "Report to State" held annually at the Capitol Building in Austin, Texas.

A "Report to the State" is presented each year by each council to the governor of Texas to highlight and share the benefits Scouting provides in the state of Texas.  It provides an opportunity to build the Scouting brand and image as well as increase the awareness and visibility of Scouting's service. Within our Alamo Area Council, the report to the state provides a source of pride and morale boost.

All Scouts are invited to attend the annual Report to State. The Alamo Area Council will put a delegation together of 30 youth, one of them is the spokesman for our council. Scouting units will march in a parade down Congress Avenue to the State Capitol. Once at the Capitol, each spokesman will make a report on the status of their council to a state official. All participants are usually welcome to view the report event in the balcony of the House Chambers.  For more information, visit or contact the Report to State coordinator at
