Tiger Day Camp Activities and Advancements Announced!

Tiger Cubs, new Scouts entering the First Grade this Fall, and their parent or adult partner, are invited to attend the 2017 Tiger Day Camp at the McGimsey Scout Park. The camp will be held Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Tiger Day Camp is designed with young Cub Scouts in mind and will provide a two-day overview of Cub Scouting and Scouting activities. In addition to fun and adventure for the Tigers their parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive information about Cub Scouting programs and what they can expect when they join a local Pack at the end of the summer.

Tiger Scouts will participate in fun Cub Scout camp activities and earn several awards and advancements toward earning the rank of Tiger. The daily schedule below lists the activities and advancements (some partial) the Tigers will complete.

Saturday

BB Range – Tiger Shooting Sports Award (requires attendance both days)

Archery Range - Tiger Shooting Sports Award (requires attendance both days)

Swimming – Tiger Elective Floats and Boats (Requirements 1,2,3,4,7; full completion)

Games – Tiger Adventure Games Tigers Play (Requirements 1a, 1b, 1c, 2; partial completion)

Crafts – Tiger Elective Good Knights (completed over both days; Requirements 1,2,3)

Sunday

BB Range – Tiger Shooting Sports Award (requires attendance both days)

Archery Range - Tiger Shooting Sports Award (requires attendance both days)

Swimming – Tiger Elective Floats and Boats (Requirements 1,2,3,4,7; full completion)

Games – Tiger Elective Good Knights (completed over both days; Requirement 5)

Nature – Tiger Adventure My Tiger Jungle (Requirements 1,2,3; full completion after homework)

 

Registration for Tiger Day Camp is available through the link to the right. Registration is $45 for a Scout/parent or adult team. Registration includes: camp t-shirt, camp, leather name tag, mug and all program, include a quality craft project.

Parents/adult partners of Tiger Cubs must attend Day Camp with their Scouts.

Scouts should wear closed toe shoes and bring the following: swim suit, towel, sack lunch and sunscreen.
