4th Annual Alamo Area Fire Exploring Competition

Preparing Youth for Careers in Fire and Emergency Services thru Competition

The Alamo Area Council and the Helotes Fire Department invite all Exploring Fire and Emergency Services Posts to participate in the 4th Annual Alamo Area Council Fire Exploring Competition.  The competition will be hosted at the Helotes Fire Department (12951 Bandera Road, Helotes, Texas 78023) on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Price and Event Registration Detail:

Online registration must be completed by March 18th for an early bird $15.00 per person discounted fee.  Registration fee will increase to $20.00 per person thereafter.  A post is not considered registered until all fees, Learning for Life Health Forms (parts A & B only), and a Consent, Discharge, and Indemnity Agreements have been received.

Competition Activities: 

All media, community, and family members are also invited to witness battles for Best Overall Individual and Best Overall Team trophies as forty of the finest Fire Explorers in Bexar County will be tested in:

  • Bunker Gear Drills
  • Obstacle Courses
  • Three-Person Race
  • Four-Person Race
  • Bucket Brigade
