Thank you Al (affectionately known as Big Al) for all that you have done for the Scouts in our community. Our Council Wide Roundtable/Expo will not be the same without you. We will miss you dearly. You were a wonderful friend to the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council.

August 13, 1948 - June 3, 2017


Albert J. Reiter, beloved husband, father, and granddad entered enteral rest after a courageous fight with cancer on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 68. Born in Kerrville, Texas to Charles and Mary Reiter on August 13, 1948, he is preceded in death by his parents and half siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Kathy Reiter; children Robert J. Reiter (Brenda & Connor), Katie Reiter (Kendall), extended family and friends. He graduated from Tivy High School and attended Schreiner College before attending Baylor University, earning a degree in Business. He earned his CPA in Texas and worked as an accountant for over 40 years.
He was a role model who touched many lives. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, donated blood, volunteered at Fiesta events, and was always eager to assist others. Al had a passion for travel and created lasting memories with his family during trips spanning from Japan to Europe and across North America. He also enjoyed entertaining friends and family at his Hill Country retreat, Turtle Creek. In lieu of flowers please donate to Head for the Cure or Boy Scouts of America.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 7 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Mass to be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Brigid Catholic Church.
