Webelos to Scout Transition 2016-2017 Resource

by Sean Magnuson for the Alamo Area Council, BSA: December 10, 2016

Boy Scouting is at the very core of what we as the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) do.  It is in this program that boys ages 11-18 years of age gain the most impact from the values that Scouting aims to instill in them.  Often, Cub Scouts do not make the transition to the Boy Scouting program. Some times this lack of transition is because of a lack of connection between or intersection with Cub Scout Webelos leaders and Scoutmasters; Boy Scouts' key unit leadership.  To this end, the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council has assembled a list of local Boy Scout Troops and their basic details.

Please look at the map to determine which district(s) you live closest to, and then find the appropriate page following the Map within the PDF file downloadable below in order to learn about nearby Boy Scouting opportunities.

Feel free to reach out to and connect with the leader of any Troops that look like they might be a potential fit.  Continue the Adventure!
