Open House Search and Rescue Post

Come See What Search and Rescue Has to Offer

On Saturday, April 8th there will be an open house for the Alamo Area Councils newest Exploring Post, Post 1398 at McGimsey Scout Park, 10810 Wedgewood Dr., San Antonio, TX 78230. The open house will run from 9am-2pm. Post 1398 will be a Search and Rescue-focused Exploring Post.

 

Search and Rescue Exploring is a part of Fire & EMS Exploring. Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14-21. Come learn from Alamo Area Search and Rescue (AASAR) about canine teams, certified ground personnel, trained search managers, logistics support, communications, and incident management.

 

Some of the things that you or your Explorer could gain from joining the Post is improved self-confidence, leadership experience, and hands-on career experiences preparing you for your career. Scholarship opportunities may also be psossible.
