A New Online Youth Protection Training has been launched.

This new version is for all programs in BSA (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts, Venturing and Exploring.) All the individual program Youth Protection Training is no longer available online and has been replaced by this single online training.

All leaders must take the new online version by October 1st, 2018 even if your Youth Protection Training on record does not expire by then.

As of March, 2018 the video we use to meet the Texas requirement for face to face Youth Protection Training has not changed.  When it does we will notify you of the updates and any new developments.  Until then, we are in a situation that may require double training.  We thank you for your patience as we work through this dual training time.

Until the new Face to Face version is released, this is how we must handle training:

ALL LEADERS/ALL PROGRAMS: If your YPT expires, you will need to go online and take the new YPT.

If you are attending one of the following camps in Texas (Cub Scout Day Camp, Webelos Outdoor Adventure Camp, or Boy Scout Summer Camp) you will also need to take the current Face to Face YPT to meet the Texas requirement for YPT Training.

Please click HERE to read the letter issued by our Council Training Chair and Council Scout Executive.

If your YPT does not expire by October, you will still need to take the new online YPT by October 1st, 2018.
