“Phil has been a longtime friend of Scouting here in the thirteen counties that make up the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council. As a past President and member of our Advisory Board, Phil has been very instrumental in our success in serving more youth and families in our community. Phil, thank you, thank you, thank you, from all of us that have benefited from your generosity and love for Scouting throughout the years. Congratulations once again on this wonderful achievement.” Michael de los Santos, Scout Executive

The annual event, chaired by Mark Carvajal, Vice President of Carvajal Technologies, helps support Scouting programs council wide. Individuals, corporations and private foundations serve as sponsors for the Good Scout luncheon.

Phil exemplifies the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law…his investment into building leaders is not only in business, but also with the community and his family. Phil’s tangible contributions to the community compliment the respect and esteem which Phil has among his friends and colleagues.” says Carvajal.

Being raised in La Porte, Texas, Pfeiffer went through Cub Scout and Boy Scout which fueled his interest in law. Graduating from Sam Houston State University with his Bachelor of Science degree and later with his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, Pfeiffer earned the 2014 San Antonio Lawyer of the Year Award and is the Editor in Chief of Employment Discrimination Law, the Second Supplement to Lindemann and Grossman. Pfeiffer was reintroduced to Scouting when Joe McKinney asked him to assist in a fundraising campaign which led to him contributing to the development of a Good Scout Luncheon and even becoming the President of the Alamo Area Council in 2002.

“It develops strong work ethic, but teaches you to balance priorities…” said Pfeiffer when asked about success and the importance of Scouting as a youth. “Pursue a specialization, and find a way to contribute to the community in a way that matches your personal values.”
