Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Disclaimers, and Other Info

Ticket packages for Scout Nights vary each year depending on past participation, ticket and calendar availability, event and facility offerings, and requests from our youth, Scout parents, and Scouting volunteers.  A portion of all Scout Nights ticket proceeds help benefit Scouting youth council-wide. **Note - All sales are final on any ticket from an outside venue (sports tickets, theaters, etc).

Additional benefits for our Scout Nights ticket holders may include event food, a FREE event promotional item, insider team news, player appearance and autograph opportunities. Also, there may be a movie on the big screen after the game, and commemorative event patches.

Selected Scouts may have the opportunity to be involved in these activities too:

  • Opening ceremony with American and unit flags
  • Singing the National Anthem
  • Color guard with giant American flag
  • First pitch (for baseball) or between game promotions and games

Additional Notes:

Each unit attending may be asked to participate in the opening ceremony. Please bring your American and Unit flag for use during the ceremony, if requested.

All Scouts in attendance should wear their correct BSA uniform and will be required to provide their own camping gear if staying overnight.  All camping gear must be provided by the individual Scout or the unit.

Overnight camping is open to Scouts, their parents/leaders, AND SIBLINGS! Game tickets will need to be purchased for all attendees that plan to stay overnight.

Campers, please use only stand-alone tents that do not need or use stakes; and remember  "Outdoor Ethics, " formerly known as "Leave No Trace."

Units wishing to camp overnight must provide their own leadership according to the BSA Youth Protection Standards. The Alamo Area Council will not be providing leadership for overnight camping.  Event personnel will be on-site all night for emergencies.

An age-appropriate movie will be shown after the game, if applicable.

Please remind all adults (leaders and parents) that Scout Nights are a Scouting event. Therefore, please refrain from the use of alcohol and tobacco products while in Scout uniform or participating in any of the event.
