San Antonio Spurs Basketball

The San Antonio Spurs are an American professional basketball team and part of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA).  The Spurs are one of four former American Basketball Association teams to remain intact in the NBA after the 1976 ABA–NBA merger and the only former ABA team to have won an NBA championship.  The Spurs' five NBA championships are the fourth most in history and they currently rank first among active franchises for the highest winning percentage in NBA history.

Head coach, Gregg Popovich has the Spurs striving for a six NBA championship under the leadership of veteran players Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli, Danny Green, Boris Diaw, and Kawhi Leonard with new team additions in veteran David West and star free agent, LaMarcus Aldridge.   The Spurs play at the AT&T Center and their mascot is the Coyote.

The Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council and the Spurs have held an annual Scout night for youth for over 15 years.
