Training Is An Important Part Of Being A Scout Leader!

Cub Scout leaders are considered trained when they have completed Youth Protection, and the Cub Scout Leader Specific training for their position.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is not required to be a trained pack leader. However, someone is required to be BALOO trained to go on a campout.

Scoutmasters and assistant Scoutmasters are considered trained when they have completed Youth Protection, Leader Specific Training, and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.

Troop committee members are considered trained when they have completed Youth Protection, and the Troop Committee Challenge as their leader-specific training. 

Venturing Leaders & Committee are considered trained when they have completed Youth Protection & the Specific Position Training.
