Biography

Mark Sanchez, a native of San Antonio and Eagle Scout, serves as the Armadillo District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council. He started off with the Alamo Area Council on February 2015 as the Mays Family Scout Ranch Outdoor Adventure Executive.

Mark is also a council advisor for Merit Badge University, Merit Badge Extravaganza, Climbing Committee, Scouting for Food, and is National Camp School Day Camp Certified.

Mark is a graduate of St. Mary's University, majoring in Criminal Justice and minored in Art. His vision and goals are to provide resources and support quality programs that impact the youth of San Antonio, such as scouting.

Mark's past experience with youth organizations started in 2009 with the Bexar County Juvenile Courthouse (2009-2010), Northern Tier High Adventure Base (2010) and the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio (2010-2015).  

When not busy serving youth, Mark enjoys bicycling, outdoor hiking, traveling, being with his dog (Czara), playing music, camping, barbecuing, eating good food, painting and creating mix media art for friends and family.
