Biography

Christopher Mendoza, a San Antonio native, grew up on the south side but went to school on the west side. He attended private school all his life from St. Martin's Hall at school age, Holy Cross at High School, and Our Lady of the Lake university where he received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing.

He had absolutely no experience in Boy Scouts when he first came into the organization. This is simply because there was little presence of the organization within the communities he was in. In his current position as Program Coordinator for the program Project Aguila, the wanting of this program is to change that.

Project Aguila (Project Eagle) was kicked off in August of 2011 as a local Alamo Area Council Board initiative to create long-standing units in areas where the council has identified the need for a program that prepares boys for life. Currently the program is offered in the school districts of Harlandale I.S.D, Southwest I.S.D, Northside I.S.D, and Edgewood I.S.D.

"I am privileged to be given this responsibility to bring this great program into communities where it is needed, both with boys and their parents. We are building on the next generation of leaders and all children, no matter what side of town they grew up on, should have the chance to succeed.

He has been given the chance to participate in Cub Scouts, it took him 25 years he would say, so you will typically find Christopher camping, building fires, playing marbles, chopping wood, just simply being a boy again.
