Biography

Joshua Ozuna was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas.  He attended UT Austin and San Antonio College before receiving a B.A. in English from UTSA in 1993.

Joshua began working for the Alamo Area Council of Boy Scouts in 2004 as a Program Leader and is now the Program Coordinator for the Scoutreach Program.  He is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, acquiring supplies, and training Scoutreach staff for the program which is delivered to approximately eighty in-school and after-school sites throughout the San Antonio area.

Prior to joining the Alamo Area Council, Joshua worked with other non-profit organizations such as SAMMinistries, YMCA of San Antonio and the Hill Country, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio.

"My job can be a lot of fun, but I have had other jobs that have been enjoyable as well.  The difference for me is that this job has been the most rewarding.  In my position, I get the chance to affect the lives of thousands of boys."

Joshua has served in a number of different positions in Scouting; from Den Leader to Scoutmaster. He has also completed Woodbadge training and remains a proud Beaver.  He attends Bethesda Assembly of God (right next to his office) and serves as photographer on missionary trips to Mexico.  When he is at home, he can usually be found in the yard digging up holes and planting things.
