Biography

Brief Biography for Jericho Talusan 

Jericho Talusan joins the Alamo Area Council as the Scout Service Executive for the Cimarron District. With almost 20 years of experience in Scouting as a youth and as an adult volunteer, he is a welcome addition to the services the Council brings to its Scout units and the community of San Antonio, Texas.

Jericho has committed himself to serving the needs of our youth by teaching teamwork and by modeling good citizenship. Previously, Jericho was an educator and a coach at the middle school level, where he was responsible for providing academic and sports programs for the youth. Additionally, he has experience working with underprivileged and underperforming K-8 students as a tutor to help them meet standards and successfully advance to the next level.

Jericho has been in Scouting since his early years in the Philippines. His Scouting journey continued when he moved to Tennessee where he was actively engaged with his troop, council, and community. Jericho has earned the rank of Eagle Scout and became a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. He has three years of experience as a camp counselor, and was a part of the advancement board for his local unit as an assistant scoutmaster. He continued his journey as a member of his college's Alpha Phi Omega chapter.

Jericho graduated from California State University Bakersfield with degrees in History and Biology.
