Biography

Edward L. Rogers, CFRE, hailing from Fort Worth and a graduate of Texas A&M University, serves as the Director of Scouting Endowment for the Alamo Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Rogers’ responsibilities include the oversight and support of the council’s annual and legacy giving activities, United Way relationships, foundation grantsmanship, and corporate and individual donor relationships program. He has previously served as chief development officer for United Way, Junior Achievement, UNT Health Science Center, and St David’s Hospital. Among his previous experiences is service on the staff at Texas A&M University, and as a private fund raising consultant. Mr. Rogers began his professional career in 1971 in a field staff assignment at the Longhorn Council in Fort Worth. Ed lives with his wife Susan in Boerne where he is active as a community volunteer with the Cibolo Nature Center. He also attends St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and spends a lot of his spare time cycling, playing golf, kayaking, and birding.
