We are excited that you are interested in joining the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council! To help guide you, we have outlined the 3 STEPS to becoming an active member, including the use of the BeAScout.org page below to find your unit.
STEP ONE – Find Your Unit
Using the BeAScout Join Scouting search tool above, Research and visit several units to determine the best fit for your family. Contact the unit leader to find out when their next recruitment event will be held.
If you need help, you can ask for the Scout Service Executive in your area by emailing Join@AlamoAreaBSA.org or by calling 210-341-8611 and sharing what school district your son or daughter attends.
STEP TWO – Complete a Membership Application
The BSA offers an online application process found at BeAScout.org or paper applications will be available from the unit leader. If you have any questions during the application process, contact your unit leader or council service center by emailing Membership@AlamoAreaBSA.org or by calling 210-341-8611.
STEP THREE – Start Your Adventure
Ask your unit leader for a copy of their planned annual Scouting activities AND pick up a copy of the Alamo Area Council’s printed ADVENTURE GUIDE resource magazine at our main service center located at 2226 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78213.
