This Fall we are offering limited small events to allow Cub Scouts the opportunity to get outside, interact with other Scouts, participate in shooting sports activities and do some traditional Scouting activities. All of these events will be differently themed and our activities will change for each event.
How will we operate safely? First of all, there is a pre-screening and everyone present must sign a waiver form. Everyone present will wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be used at the entrance and exit of each activity area. Groups will be kept at only 8 Scouts. Parents are asked to attend to help monitor and support the Scouts during the activities (family social distancing, Tiger and Lion Scouts are required to have a parent with them). Our equipment will be cleaned between each group and rotated to allow for that cleaning, crafts will be separated out or individually packaged, activities will be individual and only non-contact activities will be offered.
Each Friday afternoon at 3 pm prior to the scheduled events there will be a zoom meeting for parents and staff to allow them to ask questions and find out about group rotations, expectations, etc. These meeting links will be emailed out on Friday morning as soon as registration closes for each event so that all the registered parents/leaders are included in the meetings.
If you have any questions about these events please reach out to Adventure@AlamoAreaBSA.org
Click on the links below to register for the camps your Scout wants to attend! Only the first 40 Scouts to register will be allowed to attend each session, these events are not open to walk ins due to the precautions we must take for COVID.
