FAQs
What should I do to stay safe when I visit?
- You will be sharing some spaces with other visitors, including trails. Follow CDC guidelines for keeping you, your Scout family and other Scout family visitors healthy.
- Keep your face mask handy as you may need it if people outside your family are nearby.
- Maintain at least a six-foot distance from anyone not in your family.
Do we disenfect?
- We clean and disinfect restrooms in between family visits. We also wipe/spray down hard surfaces and other commonly touched items in public areas with a disinfectant as recommended by the CDC.
- We will provide hand sanitizer spray in all public areas, but please bring your own, as well.
Can I bring my whole family, even if it’s large?
- This family camp is only open to members of your immediate family that you have been in regular contact with during the stay at home order. Those in your household.
Who is included in my immediate family?
- Spouse, parents and grandparents, children and grand children, brothers and sisters, mother in law and father in law, brothers in law and sisters in law, daughters in law and sons in law. Adopted, half, and step members are also included in immediate family.
- We ask that you respect this rule so that we are able to provide this opportunity and keep you and the other families safe while they are at camp.
Why are visitors or day visits not allowed?
- In order to provide this opportunity safely to our Families we had to identify risks and eliminate as many as possible. Having an open camp to Day Visits or Visitors exposes our camp, staff and other families and increases the number of people we have on site at one time. Please plan to come and remain at the camp for the duration of your reservation, unless there is an emergency.
What if someone at camp becomes sick or later gets the virus? We ask anyone that becomes sick to leave the camp immediately and close the camp for cleaning. We will close the camp after a connection to a person with a presumed or confirmed case of COVID-19. If you are diagnosed after visiting one of our properties, please call the Alamo Area Council to let us know. 210-341-8611, Rentals@alamoareabsa.org
