Sat. Aug, 6 - Ford Canoe Challenge 2016 - REGISTRATION EXTENDED TO JULY 31

Join the Boy Scouts of America, Paseo del Rio Association, and San Antonio River Authority on Sat., August 6th from 7-11am for a race down the San Antonio River. The Ford Canoe and Kayak Challenge includes a Scouting competition encouraging outdoor adventure. OCT - Boy Scout Night at the Dome - 2016 UTSA Football

Join the adventure with UTSA Football Roadrunners as they take on Southern Miss, October 8, 2016 at the Alamodome. Scouts receive a limited edition "Boy Scout Night at the Dome" Patch (While Supplies Last) and Stay after the game for special events and the opportunity to learn the INS and OUTS of Football from a surprise guest speaker!

AUG - Scout Night with the San Antonio Stars

Exclusive Scouting Offer! This summer we are having 4 Scout Night options to choose from. The package includes some pretty cool photo ops: Pictures with all 5 Spurs Championship Banners, Photos in the Interview Room (take pictures where the Spurs do their post-game interviews), Meet and Greet Star Players, and a Tour of the AT&T Center.

JUL-DEC: Outdoor Ethics Trainer Course (formerly known as Leave No Trace)

This 16-hour, overnight training course is designed for adult and youth members of Scouting 14 years of age and older, who value the land and want to teach others how to protect and preserve it. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an Outdoor Ethics Trainer certificate, a trainer pin and will be qualified to teach Outdoor Ethics skills to all levels of Scouting.

Alamo Area Council Scouting Expo at the Freeman Coliseum Expo Center on Thursday, August 11, 2016, from 6 to 9 p.m.

SEPT-DEC: 2016 Mays Merit Badge Programs

In 2016 the Mays Family Scout Ranch (MFSR) will be offering 8 Merit Badges. The MFSR will complete certain requirements for all merit badges, but not all elective requirements that show within the booklets. Please review details on the calendar of which requirements will be held prior to the event.
