Scouts Support 2014 Battle of Flowers Parade

Every April, downtown San Antonio becomes the site of a citywide celebration – the Battle of Flowers® Parade. Since 1891, the women volunteer members of the Battle of Flowers® Association have produced a parade to honor the fallen heroes of the Alamo and to commemorate the victory at the battle of San Jacinto.

Help Share the Stories of Scouting that Shape our local Community

The Alamo Area Council, Boy Scouts of America will recognize Scouting units within the council for outstanding efforts in documented positive public relations within the local, regional, national, or global media. Awards will be presented at the Council-wide Roundtable usually held every year in August.

2nd Annual SCORP-OREE Scout Night with SA Scorpions

Camp out under the stars on June 7th with the San Antonio Scorpions! Watch an exciting soccer game between San Antonio and Ft Lauderdale Strikers. Join the pre-game fun in the Scorpion Fun Zone then get autographs and photos in the post-game Meet and Greet. There will also be many over night activities to participate in!

12th Annual Boy Scout Charity Sporting Clays Tournament sponsored by Valero

Join us on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the National Shooting Complex for a fun filled afternoon of friendly and fun competition. Teams of five will compete at various stations, accommodating all skill levels, to shoot 100 targets.

Merit Badge University Spring 2014

Boy Scout Merit Badge University on May 10, 2014 at Northwest Vista College. A one day event hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council, for Boy Scouts in the 6th-12th Grade or ages 11-17 to earn up to four merit badges to help with their path to earn their Eagle Scout rank and serve our community.
