Cub Scout Shooting Sports Weekend 2014

Cub Scout Shooting Sports Weekend Fall 2014 This event is scheduled for Saturday October 11 & Sunday October 12. Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to earn the Belt Loop for Archery and BB gun and work on/or complete their pin. The Belt Loop will be on Saturday and the Pin can be earned on Sunday.

Council Web-o-ree 2014

A WEB-O-REE is an exciting opportunity for WEBELOS Scouts, their Parents and Adult Leaders to sample the experiences that lie ahead on the trail to Boy Scouting. 2015 Recharter is on the move to online only. The Boy Scouts of America requires all units to recharter all youth and adult members online beginning 2015. The online recharter method is easier, convenient and most accurate because current unit/member information is available at your fingertips.

Boy Scout Night at the Dome - 2014 UTSA Football

Join the adventure with UTSA Football Roadrunners as they take on the UTEP Miners, October 25, 2014 at the Alamodome. Scouts receive a limited edition "Boy Scout Night at the Dome" Patch (While Supplies Last) and Stay after the game for special events and the opportunity to learn the INS and OUTS of Football from surprise guest speaker!

Open Climb at McGimsey

Even if you only have one youth interested, encourage him/her to register and attend this McGimsey Climbing Tower event and try his/her hand at this challenging sport! October 4, 2014, Two sessions: 1st 9AM to Noon and 2nd 1PM to 4PM. Cost: $5 per Scout per session. Open only to Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts

Merit Badge University Fall 2014

Boy Scout Merit Badge University on November 1, 2014 at St. Phillips College. A one day event hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council, for Boy Scouts in the 6th-12th Grade or ages 11-17 to earn up to four merit badges to help with their path to earn their Eagle Scout rank and serve our community.

Alamo Area Council invites Scouts to attend Philmont 2015

Philmont is the original Boy Scouts of America National High Adventure base. It is located in northeastern New Mexico near the town of Cimmaron. The Base covers about 215 square miles of rugged mountain wilderness and provides a setting for backpacking, horseback riding and a host of other high adventure activities.
