As many other councils across America have done to better serve youth, the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council will move to an online-only Advancement tracking system beginning January 1, 2016, called “Internet Advancement”.

OCTOBER - New Cub Scout Adventure Days 2015

New Cub Scout Adventure Days will be held on October 31st from 8:30am to 1:00pm.. All newly registered Cub Scouts can come for their first outdoor adventure with archery, BB guns, swimming, nature, crafts and games.

OCTOBER - Venturing Challenge Cup and Open House 2015

All Council Venturing Crews and invited guests will compete in fun games of skill, adventure, and teambuilding for the Venturing Challenge Cup at the McGimsey Scout from 9am - 2 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2015. The Mays Family Scout Ranch is happy to announce we will be offering Merit Badges here in the fall at the camp facility. We welcome boys and parents to come take part in our program and leave with new experiences, take home projects, and skill sets to build upon.
