Season’s Greetings! At this time of year, everyone seems to be thinking about what gifts they’d like to give or receive – what if you could get a gift that can be enjoyed by YOU and YOUR SCOUTS, and this gift keeps giving?
Powder Horn is just such a GIFT – you have a great time during the training, your Scouts enjoy all the new high-adventure activities that you bring back to your unit, and your enhanced knowledge benefits your unit for years!
Powder Horn 2020 (PH2020) is an action-packed, hands-on, six-day training course designed to introduce Venturing and Scouts BSA leaders to activities and resources necessary to operate a successful high-adventure program; you get to do the activities and we give you the resources needed to bring the activities to your unit!
At PH2020, you’ll experience and learn about all kinds of high-adventure activities, like: Backpacking, Cooking, COPE (High/Low), Emergency Preparedness, Field Archery, Forest Ecology, Land Navigation, Leave No Trace, Tomahawks, Moulage, Search & Rescue, Outback Pioneering, Shooting Sports, Watercraft, Wilderness First Aid, and more! PH2020 takes place over two full weekends, March 27-29, 2020 and April 17-19, 2020, at Bear Creek Scout Reservation!
